328 Support Services GmbH (328SSG) is globally recognised as the TC holder of the Dornier 328 aircraft, and that allows us to continuously support a fleet of more than 180 aircraft worldwide. As an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (Category 1A), a part 21G Production Organisation (C1, C2) and a part 145 Maintenance Organisation, we offer a broad spectrum of services to the aviation industry that allow us to perform a variety of tasks.
In this article, we are going to bring a closer focus on a specific testing capability we have – the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
By definition, the NDT is a process of testing and analysing specific parts in order to identify any unexpected material differences, production defects or welding issues without having to damage or destroy the original part.
At 328SSG, our competent and very experienced team is ready to support any of your testing requirements to always ensure the optimal safety of your parts, either directly at your facility or alternatively at 328SSG Headquarter in Oberpfaffenhofen. Depending on the part test and on your requirements, we are able to provide various NDT testing such as:
- Eddy Current testing
- Dye Liquid Penetrant testing
- Ultrasonic Testing
Of course, to reduce the risk we can also combine all different techniques and repeat the tests on a single part to correlate results and confirm the tested part is problem-free.
